Smith Orchard Vineyard

Our vineyard perched at 2400 feet elevation on the western fringes of the Dry Creek Appellation is among the last Cabernet Sauvignon grapes in the region to be harvested.  Very warm days and cool nights, allows for the long hang time for the grapes, which in turn, gives us big concentration of varietal character.  Also, with a southwestern exposure, the shallow iron- rich soils consisting of alluvial and volcanic composite allows the vines a slow, even rate of maturity.
